He is surrounded by “the Infected”—victims of the plague who have mutated into carnivorous beings who can only exist in the dark and who will devour or infect anyone or anything in their path. For three years, Neville has spent his days scavenging for food and supplies and faithfully sending out radio messages, desperate to find any other survivors who might be out there. All the while, the Infected lurk in the shadows, watching Neville’s every move, waiting for him to make a fatal mistake. Perhaps mankind’s last, best hope, Neville is driven by only one remaining mission: to find a way to reverse the effects of the virus using his own immune blood. But his blood is also what The Infected hunt, and Neville knows he is outnumbered and quickly running out of time.

BEOWULF (2007)... What'ya think of that movie?

How do you pronounce the title? "Bear" + "Wolf" as I learned from the movie itself :-P

Anyway... what I expected was an interesting story on adventures and fights between Beowulf and some creatures or monsters. UNFORTUNATELY the movie turned out to be a major disappointment and was excruciatingly BORING!

Mind you, the graphics were great and realistic you could not really tell it isn't real human. Anyhow, if you've watched the movie you'll know there are many scenes that need animation instead of real human... do you really expect to see Angelina Jolie naked? How you wish ehhh :-P Here's a hint: check out "Taking Lives" (2004) instead... ngek ngek ngek

ANYWAY, to make a boring movie short, the summary is:
King Hrothgar seeked Beowulf's help to kill monster Grendel that was terrorizing his kingdom. It was revealed that King Hrothgar was perverted and seduced and thus ba-da-bing-ba-da-boom Grendel's mother long long time ago (I seriously don't know what the hell it was! a witch? a monster? but it was kinda sexy, ahem! Angelina Jolie...hello?!), and Grendel was actually his son!

Beowulf killed Grendel, went to seek the evil mother BUT he himself was perverted and seduced as well and ba-da-bing-ba-da-boom her too! Beowulf returned to the kingdom and was crowned the new king. Fast forwarded to the future, Beowulf is old. A new monster (dragon) terrorizes the kingdom this time! Bla bla bla... can you guess the father of that monster? Oh yeah, you got that right! Beowulf! He fought the monster and both ended dead!
Beowulf's loyal friend became the new king... he saw the evil mother at the sea... his eyes turned to that perverted look (of course, nothing compared to the sexy look of Angelina Jolie as the evil mother... ahem!)... and...... THE END! That was it! End of the movie! The EXTREMELY BORING movie!

Takeaway of the story?: Majority men are perverts ("chiko pek" in Hokkien!) and they lose out to beauty/sex (maybe I should say LUST) very easily!
